An aspiring Regional Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Greater Accra Region, Kojo Obeng Berkoh, has indicated that the impending constituency, Regional, and National Executives polls of the party ought to trade on transparency and fairness so as to elect competent leaders who would diligently steer the affairs of the NDC ahead of the 2024 general elections.
According to Him, it is utterly paramount for all members of the party to forge ahead in unity to reclaim political power in the 2024.
He said delegates ought to elect competent leaders like him to steer the affairs of the great NDC as the greater Accra regional Chairman to secure victory for the party.
“I’m calling for a free, fair, peaceful and transparent election,” he stated.
He further stated that NDC must forge ahead in unity for the party members to work assiduously for victory in 2024 to resolve the increasing hardship being visited on Ghanaians by the substandard Akufo-Addo administration.
He appealed to all stakeholders to ensure that the elections are conducted in a democratic, civil, peaceful, fair and transparent manner.
He said although the NDC is in expectation to work creditably in accordance with the party’s structures, the party members must also ensure that they sell the good message of the party to the citizenry to separate truth between NDC and NPP.
Mr Berkoh assured all party members that NDC is very well-prepared for election 2024 so all and sundry ought to join the train.
“It is our duty to protect the ballots from all polling stations, through the constituencies to the regional and finally to the national collation centres,” he added.
He further said that members should commence campaigning now as the choice of Ghanaians in the 2024 polls could be stratified thus no institution, including the EC shouldn’t try to subvert the will of people in the 2024 elections.
He was, however, optimistic that the NDC would be victorious in the 2024 polls.
He appealed to the party delegates to give him the unflinching support to take the mantle to become the next Greater Accra Chairman of the NDC so to work effortlessly to strengthen the wheels of the party to aid the activities of NDC in the greater Accra thereby paving way for resounding victory.
As a political party, he noted that NDC cared about the future of Ghana and would do all it can to make it a better place for all citizens so Ghanaians should show the NPP the exit come 2024.
He further indicated that Ghanaians, particularly supporters of the NDC must see the 2024 election as a battle for the country’s future and so must work to get the NDC government back into power.
Mr Berkoh has held many political positions in the party as Branch youth organizer,Ward youth working committee chairman and Constituency youth organizer as well at Weija Gbawe constituency.
