The Vice Presidential Candidate of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Professor Naana Jane Opoku Agyemang, is set to embark on a tour of the Greater Accra Region starting tomorrow, Thursday, August 12, 2024.
During her tour, Prof. Opoku Agyemang will visit several key markets in the capital, including Mallam Atta, Kaneshie, and Makola markets.
The former Minister of Education announced the tour on her X platform, emphasizing the NDC’s commitment to inclusivity and grassroots engagement.
“We’re committed to leaving no one behind! It’s essential that the impactful policies of the NDC reach every corner of our country,” she stated.
This tour follows her recent campaign in the Central Region, which took place from July 30 to August 5, 2024. This marked the second phase of her engagement with the region, aimed at consolidating support and building on the momentum from her previous visit.
Throughout the Central Region campaign, Prof. Opoku Agyemang visited ten constituencies, including Awutu Senya West and Gomoa East. She engaged with various community groups, such as market women and local stakeholders, highlighting the NDC’s commitment to advancing the welfare of the region and fostering meaningful connections with the electorate.
Her presence in these communities was strategically aimed at attracting floating voters and reinforcing the party’s support base ahead of the upcoming elections.
Prof. Opoku Agyemang’s tour of the Greater Accra Region is expected to further solidify the NDC’s grassroots support and ensure that their policies resonate with the electorate at the local level.
