NDC’s Dzifa Ativor dies at 65

She passed on in the late hours of Monday, November 16, after a short illness, family sources have confirmed.

Former Minister of Transport and a great Personality of the National Democratic Congress, (NDC) Dzifa Aku Ativor has died according to multiple reports.

She passed on in the late hours of Monday, November 16, after a short illness, family sources have confirmed.

She was 65 and has served the nation and her party in various capacities

Madam Ativor was first appointed into public office by the late Professor John Evans Atta Mills as a Deputy Minister of Transport.

Later in 2012, after former president John Dramani Mahama who had been Vice to Mills, took over after Mills had suddenly died in office, promoted her to substantive Minister of Transport.

She held this position until 2015 when she resigned from public life and has since played major roles in the 2016 and the 2020 campaign of the NDC.

Madam Ativor was the brain behind the Construction of the airport in Ho, the capital of the Volta Region

Funeral arrangements will be announced soon, the family source said.
