A Deputy Director of Finance and the current Volta Regional Accountant of the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), known in private life as Mr. Daniel Gameli Ameli, has been coronated chief of Podoe-Dorfor in the North Tongu District of the Volta Region. This was at a colourful Durbar held on July 29, 2023. He has been given the stool name, Torgbe Kokloko Anaze Titriku XIII after going through all the traditional and customary rites.
Torgbe Kokloko Anaze Titriku XIII hails from the Amaflu Royal Clan of Dorfor. He is a great-great grandson of Torgbe Amegatsitsi Anaze III, a former Chief of Podoe-Dorfor (Mebiawoe) and a great grandson of Torgbega Kormlaga I, a past Paramount Chief of Dorfor Traditional Area. He is the son of Mr. Kojo Amevor and Madam Aziebor Bertha from Podoe Dorfor.
Torgbe had his elementary education at Podoe E.P. Primary and L.A. Middle Schools. He had his GCE O’level at Awudome Senior Secondary School, Tsito and Cert “A” from the Ada College of Education (Teacher Training College). Coincidentally, he is married to Mamaga Nyagadzie III of Gonu Atsiagborkofe, in the Agave Traditional Area with whom he has three children.
The enstoolment has been occasioned, by the king makers of the stool as a result of the home call of Torgbe Adela Ananze Titriku XII. The occasion was also used to officially announce the sudden demise of Torgbe Adela Ananze Titriku XII, to the family, community, and the entire Dorfor Traditional Area.
Among the immediate tasks facing the newly installed chief is the organisation of a befitting burial for his predecessor, Togbe Adela Ananze Titriku XII, as well as leading the process of selecting and enstooling a paramount chief for the Traditional area.
