Bernard Antwi Bosiako, the Ashanti Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), widely known as ”Chairman Wontumi,” has declared the party’s unwavering readiness to clinch victory in the upcoming December elections, vowing to break the “8-year cycle.” This readiness is a testament to our capabilities and commitment to the cause.
Speaking at the ceremony introducing the NPP’s running mate, Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh (NAPO), Chairman Wontumi expressed unwavering confidence in the party’s electoral success strategies. He emphasized that the party has meticulously completed internal processes, including elections for MPs, the president, and now the running mate, and is fully focused on securing victory in 2024 with a comprehensive approach that leaves no stone unturned.
Reflecting on past electoral challenges, Chairman Wontumi referenced the 2008 elections, a time when the NPP faced significant opposition but managed to maintain its position as a strong political force. He affirmed that the NPP is poised to overcome any obstacles posed by the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) this time around.
“We have one million ways to win the 2024 elections,” Chairman Wontumi asserted confidently, signalling the party’s unwavering determination and comprehensive approach to securing a successful outcome. He directly challenged the NDC, stating unequivocally, “They can’t stop us. Tell the NDC that we are ready.” This determination is what will drive us to victory.
