The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has declared victory in the Ablekuma North parliamentary elections ahead of the official announcement by the Electoral Commission (EC). Speaking at a press conference, the NPP constituency secretary stated that based on the party’s internal calculations and verified polling station results, Hon. Akua Afriyie has won the seat with a vote margin of 411.
“This victory reflects your overwhelming support and confidence in our candidate and the NPP’s vision for progress and development,” the secretary said.
Allegations of Intimidation
The NPP alleged attempts by the National Democratic Congress (NDC) to manipulate the process and challenge the mandate given by the people. “Let us be clear: their tactics will not succeed. The will of the people of Ablekuma North cannot and will not be undermined,” he emphasized.
The secretary urged supporters to remain calm and vigilant while awaiting the EC’s official declaration. “Do not allow provocations to disturb the peace or create unnecessary tension in our constituency. Our victory is assured, and we will protect every single vote cast in favor of Hon. Akua Afriyie and the NPP,” he added.
As the constituency awaits the final collation of results by the EC, the NPP encouraged supporters to celebrate with dignity and confidence in the party’s claimed victory.
