The New Patriotic Party (NPP) is confident of victory in the impending 2024 general elections.
Bryan Acheampong, the Member of Parliament for Abetifi Constituency, reaffirmed his previous assertions that the National Democratic Congress (NDC) stands no chance of winning the 2024 general elections.
The ruling party, he said, would therefore not hand over power to the opposition NDC after the December general election.
Speaking during a unity walk in Mpraeso, part of the NPP’s activities for the 2024 Kwahu Easter celebrations, Acheampong, who is also the Minister of Agriculture, voiced his confidence in the NPP’s continued governance beyond the upcoming elections.
Highlighting the efforts of the NPP amidst economic challenges faced by Ghana, including hindrances to contractors and delays in the agenda 111 projects, Acheampong attributed these to external factors like the COVID-19 pandemic and the Russian-Ukraine conflict.
Despite such obstacles, he cited measures undertaken by the NPP to stabilize the economy, noting achievements such as a decrease in the dollar exchange rate and an improvement in inflation rates.
Acheampong’s steadfast belief in the NPP’s success in the forthcoming polls is based on positive economic indicators and the party’s dedication to hard work.
He questioned the rationale behind the NDC’s pursuit of power, given their perceived inability to win the elections.
