The National Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Stephen Ayensu Ntim, has delivered a passionate address at the ongoing official launch of the party’s manifesto for the 2024 elections, emphasizing the crucial importance of the upcoming vote for the party’s future.
Speaking to an enthusiastic crowd, Ntim highlighted the transformative journey the NPP has embarked on since assuming power. “This manifesto will guide us and launch us onto the next stage,” he declared, noting that Ghana was at a “crucial crossroads” when the NPP took over the reins of government.
Ntim praised the government’s achievements under the NPP, citing significant milestones such as the implementation of Free Senior High School (SHS) education, the Agenda 111 hospital projects, and the introduction of mobile money interoperability. “We have risen from a state of despair,” he asserted, adding that from his perspective, “Ghana is on the right path.”
However, Ntim acknowledged that the journey has not been without its challenges. He pointed to the economic downturn and the impact of the coronavirus pandemic, describing these issues as sources of turbulence that have tested the resilience of the nation. Despite these difficulties, he expressed confidence in the direction the country is heading, saying, “All indications show that we are on the right path.”
The NPP National Chairman emphasized that the manifesto being presented was more than just a document; it was a collective vision shaped by contributions from Ghanaians both at home and abroad. “Today, we are not just sharing a document but the vision of many of our compatriots,” he said, underscoring the party’s commitment to building a society that is fair, inclusive, and prosperous.
As the nation prepares for the 2024 elections, Ntim made it clear that the stakes are high for the NPP. “Election 2024 is a must-win for the NPP,” he declared, setting the tone for what promises to be a fiercely contested political battle in the coming months.
The launch of the manifesto marks the beginning of the NPP’s campaign to secure another term in office, with party leaders and supporters rallying behind their vision for Ghana’s future.
