NSS Saves State Over GHC356 Million

...Block Fraud Attempts

The National Service Scheme (NSS) now an Authority through a well-organized digitalization system has saved Ghana over GHC356 million which was to go into the wrong pockets from 2021 to 2024.

Phase one of the Biometric Project Savings made the NSS block some 14, 406 fraud attempts during the 2021-2022 Service year.
Those ghosts were to cream some GHC 96, 642, 362.88 from the state coffers for no work done.

Having succeeded in blocking the fraud in the 2021-2022 Service Year, the rate of fraud attempts for the 2022-2023 Service Year was 9,232, and the state was going to lose some GHC 79, 273, 706.88 to those involved.

Having up its game to prevent ghosts from chopping free cash, the NSS blocked 21, 069 attempted frauds in the 2023-2024 Service Year which would have made the fraudsters pocket some GHC180, 916, 131.96.

After the successful phase one of the Biometric Project, the NSS is stopping at nothing as it has developed a more robust system to make the system overly clean.

Interestingly, the success story at the NSS has become bad news for some officials at the NSS who are out there to destroy the top management with false stories.

In addition to that the syndicates have tried severally to break into the NSS system but have not succeeded because of the strong features of the system.
