The government is set to release additional logistics to enhance contact tracing in the country due to the surge in COVID-19 cases.
President Akufo-Addo said this on Sunday in his 19th Address to the nation on measures being taken by the government against the spread of the coronavirus.
According to him, the recent rise in COVID-19 cases in the country is due to the decline in adherence to safety protocols.
As of November 8, Ghana had recorded 209 more cases increasing the active cases from 947 to 1156.
President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, said that more contact tracing logistics will be made available to the Ghana Health Service (GHS) to ensure that more contacts are traced to prevent a spread in COVID-19 cases in the country
He also added that persons who fail to abide by the safety measures will be dealt with in accordance with the laws of the country
