Nominations are now opened for the much awaited Ghana Media Excellence Awards. The award scheme seeks to honour and appreciate media excellence in the country. The maiden edition scheduled for October 10, 2021 is expected to be held at the Accra International Conference Centre, the organizers have announced.

“It is evidently clear that the media industry is undoubtedly the fourth arm of government considering socio-economic and political development in any civil society. It is on this note that a young and vibrant media personality who is the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of BPLUS MULTIMEDIA, Ahli-Ayao Joy Blessing has initiated this awards scheme – GHANA MEDIA EXCELLENCE AWARDS 2021,” the release stated.
It described the Ghana Media Excellence award as “a unique awards night to appreciate excellence in the media industry” in Ghana.
Miss Joy Blessing told ghananewsonline.com.gh that the promotion of Media Excellence is part of a deliberate move to ensure that there is a continuous freedom of the press in the country.
While applauding media houses that practice excellence in the discharge of their responsibilities, she appealed to all stakeholders to be fair, just and objective in their reportage always.
