Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, Intersex, Asexual, and Pansexual (LGBTQIAP) is highly abominable and must be condemned by every human being in our African society.
Our culture of morality since the era of our ancestors has been decent and natural. Our cultural and traditional norms frown against any act of indecency in relation to sexual indulgence.
Chiefs and Traditional Rulers are the custodian to the Traditions and Cultures handed down to them by our forefathers. These traditional and cultural restrictions and taboos help us keep the society in order.
The issue of LGBTQIAP in our societies today is as a result of our failure as Traditional Leaders to enforce our Traditional and Cultural laws and regulations.
l therefore urge all Traditional Leaders in Africa as a matter of urgency to reinforce their Traditional and Cultural laws that prohibit the society from engaging in these abominable and non-human activities of LGBTQIAP.
The emergence of Christianity and other religions have affected our Cultural and Traditional norms greatly, and people hides behind these institutions and perpetrate crimes against society and goes scot Free.
Others hide behind human Rights and religion and commit all sorts of crimes.
Our Traditional and Cultural laws, and the gods does not respect anyone who violates it’s directives without punishing them.
Nananom, Togbewo, it’s time we rise up and reinforce our Traditional laws and regulations to control the porous nature and indecency in our society. The quest of the National House of Chiefs for Parliament to fast track the passing the LGBTQIAP bill in Ghana is in the right direction.
I am appealing to all Traditional leaders to invoke the wrath of the gods of our land, and the powers of our taboos and our ancestors to deal ruthlessly with any of our citizens who may dare to indulge in the activities of LGBTQIAP.
Let’s fight LGBTQIAP TOGETHER
