Past Methodist Bishop’s comment on Mahama unfortunate – NDC communicator

“Has God promised the bishop tomorrow…who is he to determine a man’s destiny?

A member of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) communication team in the Ashanti region and former District Chief Executive (DCE) for Drobonso, Fuseini Donkor has described comment made by the past Methodist Bishop for Obuasi, Bishop Bosomtwe Ayensu, about the NDC’s plan to abolish the e-levy, as unfortunate.

The outspoken Bishop believes Mr Mahama would not even get the opportunity to come to power to cancel the policy.

The former Methodist Bishop of Obuasi further expressed disappointment in the three-time NDC flagbearer for making such an utterance, saying it is an attempt to sway voters.

He further reiterated that the predicaments the country finds itself in will take only prudent economic decisions to get out and that is what the e-levy is being taken from the citizenry to solve.

He believes strongly that the New Patriotic Party (NPP) is on the right track to get nation from the wrecks and shocks of the Covid pandemic coupled with the Russia-Ukraine war.

“So, we should all endeavour to pay so the government could use the accrued money for development,” he advised.

He called for all and sundry to help push the government’s agenda to industrialize the country under the leadership of the president, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.

Bishop Bosomtwe Ayensu made this known when speaking to journalists at the ongoing Methodist’s 25th Synod at Mount Zion Methodist Church, Obuasi.

Reacting to the comment on a Kuamsi-vased radio station, Fuseini Donkor said “Has God promised the bishop tomorrow…who is he to determine a man’s destiny? He fumed.
