PNC schism deepens as Akufo-Addo funds 5m Cedis Bernard Mornah ouster – An Owula Mangortey observation

Determined to turn Ghana’s constitutional democracy into an unconstitutional enthnocracy, Ghana’s President, the respected Retired and Tired Billy Akufo-Addo, has set a dangerous agenda to dismember opposition political parties in the West African country.

Ghanaian seat of government (Jubilee House) deep throat sources with knowledge of the unfolding drama confirmed to the Ghanaian pro- democracy militant group, Coalition of the Willing (CoW) that President Akufo-Addo doled out five million cedis (USD 893,000) to former PNC Chairman/Flagbearer, Dr. Edward Mahama, to fund an emergency delegates conference of the pro- Nkrumaist Peoples National Convention (PNC) aimed at suspending the party’s National Chairman, Benard Mornah, scuttling his presidential ambitions.

The fun side of the obnoxious scheme which the CoW uncovered was that Edward Mahama greedily attempted to keep the funds to himself with a cooked up story that the money was meant for sorting himself out as Akufo-Addo’s Ambassador-at-Large.

However, at the blind side of Dr. Edward Mahama, aides of Akufo-Addo Chief of Staff, Frema Opare, revealed to PNC heavy weights, David Apasera and Dr Agongo, of release of the funds to Ambassador Mahama.

Apasaera and other PNC heavy weughts were said to be livid and threatening to expose Diplomat Edward Mahama to public ridicule.

Meanwhile, sources close to Dr. Edward Mahama have detailed how the enstranged, long suffering Pharmacist spouse of Ambassador Edward Mahama has grabbed a sizeable portion of the 5 million cedis loot as her “End of Service Benefit” (ESB).

Sources say, the deflated Dr. Edward Mahama is in a quandary as to owning up to his part in the obnoxious Akufo-Addo scheme to oust Bernard Mornah from the PNC or stick to his graft-laiden lie that the 5 million cedis was to sort himself out as an Ambassador- at- Large.

More anon.
