The Ghana Police Service has dismissed claims made by the legal representatives of individuals on trial for their involvement in the Democracy Hub demonstration, which alleges that the Police forced their clients to re-enact the protest at the 37 Intersection.
In a statement, the Police categorically denied the allegations, describing them as false.
They explained that crime scene reconstruction, a standard investigative procedure used by law enforcement agencies globally, was employed in this case and is fully compliant with established practices.
According to the Police, crime scene reconstruction has been a long-standing practice within their investigative framework.
The officers involved in this process are the same detectives who have been working on the case since its inception.
They also refuted claims by the defense lawyers that the detectives were unfamiliar with the accused persons.
The Police reassured the public that their actions remain in line with proper procedures as they continue their investigation into the events surrounding the demonstration
