Police investigate NDC’s Mustapha Gbande for alleged inciteful comments

“The Police will continue to work with other sister security agencies diligently and patriotically to maintain the peace and security in our country which has made Ghana a beacon of hope on the continent and beyond.

The Police say their attention has been drawn to a statement allegedly made by Deputy General Secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Mustapha Gbande on OkayFM, an Accra-based radio station.

According to the Police, the statement seeks to incite violence during the 2024 general elections.

The Police say they have commenced investigations into the matter in line with the laws and democratic values of the country.

“The Police will continue to work with other sister security agencies diligently and patriotically to maintain the peace and security in our country which has made Ghana a beacon of hope on the continent and beyond.

“We wish to assure the public that under our watch no one will be allowed to undermine the peace, security, law and order in our beloved country,” a statement said.
