Political parties are selfish bodies, they are not worth dying for – Otumfuo’s Assinhene

He said the party will abandon you after the emerging winners of an election and that the youth should be vigilante.

Otumfuo’s Assinhene and Royal at Sepaase in the Atwima Nwabiagya Municipality of the Ashanti region, Nana Yaw Akuoko has advised the youth who engage in violence during an elections to desist from it.

According to him, political parties are selfish bodies and they are not worth dying for.

He said the party will abandon you after the emerging winners of an election and that the youth should be vigilante.

Naarating how one of the leading parties abandoned a native of Sepaase to die, Nana Yaw Akuoko stated that the deceased’s life became miserable after all that he did for the party.

” My own town Sepaase, one man followed a particular party and was involved in an accident. He was not able to work again and his life became miserable till he died, the party didn’t help him. I am saying this to let you know that the political parties are selfish bodies, only those who are on top positions are benefiting and all of us can not be on top. Some should be supporters, grassroot and sympathizers. What will benefit you if you sacrifice your life and find a job for someone who will only take care of his family.? Nana Yaw Akuoko made these remarks during his 9th Anniversary Thanksgiving service at Gospel Champions Ministries International Tafo- Nhyiaeso.

He added that violence will not help the country to develop so political actors should put Ghana first.

“What I am saying is that Ghana came before politics. Because of democracy, politics will continue to exist but to be involved in violence activities due to politics will not help the country.” He emphasized.

Otumfuo’s Assinhene noted that many Ghanaians are traveling abroad recently because of lack of jobs so it is imperative for the political parties to prioritize job creation.

“What we are expecting from the political parties is how to create jobs for the youth, look at the number of people who are traveling, go to Canada Embassy, US Embassy, UK Embassy, go to passport office and see the number of people who are doing their passport to travel as if Ghana is wrecking.” He lamented.
