This year’s Jubilee Celebration by the Seventh Day Theocratic World Congregation took on an electrifying atmosphere, marked by intense praises, singing, drumming, and dancing. The event, held at the church’s school park in Homedakrom (Shalom Shalom, off the Pokuase-Nsakina road), Eastern Region, saw congregants worshiping in a spirited manner for hours.
For an extended period, worshipers filled the park, entering a joyous frenzy as they sang and praised God, dancing with unprecedented energy. Instrumentalists, singers, and tambourine players each showcased their talents, adding to the lively atmosphere. The event was led by Theocracy Tambourines of Yahweh, with instrumentalists and singers spurring on the crowd. A diverse congregation of children, youth, men, women, and pastors, all dressed in white and waving palm fronds, danced in circular formations, lifting their voices to glorify God under the theme, “Let’s Praise Him with the Tambourine and Dance” (Psalm 150:4).
The park was transformed into a scenic worship space, decorated with palm fronds, plantain stalks, flowers, and various other natural plants and herbs. Worshipers, clad in white, waved different types of leaves as they chanted the Feast of Tabernacles slogan, ASESE.
Apostle Agbalenyoh’s Insights
Speaking on the significance of the event, Apostle Kadneil E.H. Agbalenyoh, a teacher of the History of Religions, explained that Yahweh, the Hebraic God, is the sole Creator of the world, as stated in Exodus 20:11. He supported this with references to secular history, noting that the belief in one God by the Israelites, also known as Hebrews, set them apart from other ancient peoples who worshipped many gods. He cited the book World History by Ellis and Esler, Page 57, to affirm his point.
The Feast of Yahweh vs. Gentile Festivals
Apostle Agbalenyoh also highlighted the distinction between the festivals of Yahweh and those of the Gentiles, who do not worship the God of the Hebrews. Referring to Exodus 5:1-3, Leviticus 23:4, and Exodus 23:14-17, he emphasized the importance of observing Yahweh’s festivals.
Roman Empire’s Influence
He further explained that between AD 313 and 392, the Greco-Roman Empire replaced Judaic religious customs with pagan practices. Citing the reigns of Emperor Constantine the Great (AD 313-337) and Emperor Theodosius (AD 392), Apostle Agbalenyoh asserted that these leaders established the Roman Christian religious system. He noted that only Judaic Christian communities continue to observe Hebraic religious festivals, as outlined in Deuteronomy 16:16, while much of Christendom follows Greco-Roman customs, which, he said, are condemned by Christ in Matthew 15:8-9.
Special Moment: The Israelite Lady
During the program, after the collection session, Apostle Agbalenyoh introduced an Israelite lady, who was invited on stage to blow a trumpet made from a ram’s horn over the collection, in accordance with biblical teachings. The Apostle noted that the lady is also responsible for teaching the congregation the Hebrew language.
The Seventh Day Theocratic World Congregation practices a Judaic-Christian faith, celebrating significant festivals, including the Jubilee Year or Feast of Tabernacles, which was the highlight of the current celebration.
