President Mahama Swears in New Council of State Members

President John Dramani Mahama has officially inaugurated the newly elected and appointed members of the Council of State at a brief ceremony held at the Jubilee House on Tuesday.

Addressing the members, President Mahama urged them to carry out their duties with diligence, selflessness, and integrity. He emphasized that the Council comprises distinguished individuals with sound judgment and that their role in shaping national policies should reflect their expertise and wisdom.

“With the challenges facing our nation, we need the wisdom and guidance of this esteemed Council to help reset Ghana on the right path,” he stated.

The President commended the members on their appointment and expressed confidence in their ability to provide valuable counsel for national progress.

Chairman of the Council, Mr. Edward Doe Adjaho, assured that teamwork and consensus-building would guide their deliberations.

“This will be a Council of difference. I promise that we shall not fail you,” he affirmed.
