Public Services Workers Union to strike on October 21

If the strike proceeds as scheduled, activities of the Electoral Commission and other public services will grind to a halt.

The Public Services Workers Union (PSWU) is to embark on nationwide strike on Monday October 21 over failure of the Ministry of Finance to pay allowances of its members on the Single Spine Salary Structure.

If the strike proceeds as scheduled, activities of the Electoral Commission and other public services will grind to a halt.

The Union leadership indicated that government has not been fair to members of the PSWU.

They explained that for the past ten years since the implementation of the Single Spine pay policy, more of its members have been short changed.
