REGISTER ALL STOOL LANDS: Gbese Stool issues ultimatum…

Why is the same government trying to return a small portion of the illegally annexed Kpletso Lands through the La Traditional Council and not the La Stool?

Gbese Jaasetse in the presence of the Gbese Mantse issued a six (6) month deadline for all persons on Gbese Lands to register their Lands through the Gbese Lands Secretariat in accordance with the new Land Law ACT 1036 or lose their rights to those lands.

All Stools are to immediately set up Stool Lands Secretariats to register all their Lands before any transaction can be deemed to be legal under the new Land Law that came into force after President Akufo-Addo assent to it in December 2020.

Before you transact in Ghana; READ ACT 1036 or risk FINE or PRISON SENTENCE.

ACT 1036 aims to ensure transparency and accountability in all Land Transactions…

BE CAREFUL WHO YOU BUY LAND FROM…

NOTE: a Chief is not anybody in cloth, but defined in the Ghanaian Constitution as a person hailing from the appropriate family lineage and bloodline, selected and enstooled or enskinned in accordance with the customs of the people.

Note also that all Stool Lands are vest in the appropriate Stool and held in trust by the occupant of the Stool in trust for the Subjects of the Stool.

Government may by Executive Instrument take any Land (including Stool Lands) anywhere in Ghana for a particular stated public purpose for a specified period and pay appropriate compensation to the Original Land Owners.

Article 20 (5)(6) of the Constitution of Ghana enjoin the State to return such State Acquired Lands to the Original Pre-acquisition Land Owners, through a right of first refusal.

The government recently returned through E.I.432 some Ashanti Lands to the Asantehene in trust for the Subjects of the GOLDEN STOOL;

This must be the uniform mode for government return of Lands through Stools and not Traditional Councils which per a 5-0 Supreme Court ruling deemed not to have capacity to deal in Land matters but rather the Stool.

QUESTION:

Why is the same government trying to return a small portion of the illegally annexed Kpletso Lands through the La Traditional Council and not the La Stool?

Why is the Military being allowed to hold on to the Kpletso Lands which have not been acquired by the State for the Military; especially after their 15th April, 2021 shooting and assault of unarmed citizens of La, three (3) of whom have died of their injuries…

Why reward the Military Landguards with Prime Lands when they should be facing prosecution to serve as deterrent to others and end the Military impunity…

PS: Prime lands have become the preferred hiding place for proceeds of Galamsey, Corruption and money laundering.

STAY TUNED.
