Deputy Communications Director of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP), Ernest Owusu Bempah has urged the party to reject Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has the party’s flag bearer for the 2028 elections.
According to Owusu Bempah, former Vice president Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia is not a man of the people and cannot deliver victory for the NPP in the 2028 Presidential elections.
He claimed that the grassroots of the party were not happy about the decision to present Dr. Bawumia as the flagbearer and that is the reason why known NPP members voted for the NDC.
“For the first time, I met a taxi driver who is a member of NPP who told me that he voted for the NDC in the 2024 election, he showed me his party card, and the reason is that we didn’t take the right candidate for him to come and vote for” he claimed on Oyerepa TV.
He further claimed that former Assin Central Member of Parliament, Kennedy Agyapong is the only one who can secure victory for the NPP in the 2028 elections.
“Go down there with a hidden camera and ask the ordinary people why they refused to vote. 2.1 million decided not to go and vote, 2.1 million, do you think it is a joke? NPP party base, supporters refused to vote and I’m telling you that they want Kennedy Agyapong” he argued.
