Replace MP or else we would vote skirt and blouse come 2024- Akim Swedru NPP supporters threatens

They are livid at the legislator for failing to use his office as the Chairman of the Select Committee on Roads and Transport in Parliament to lobby and get their roads constructed.

New Patriotic Party (NPP) supporters in the Akim Swedru Constituency of the Eastern Region have threatened to vote skirt and blouse in the 2024 general election.

This they say is to register their displeasure against the abysmal performance of the Member of Parliament (MP), Kennedy Osei Nyarko.

They have thus cautioned the delegates to replace the incumbent MP in the forthcoming parliamentary primaries of the NPP.

The fuming constituents, speaking to Onua TV in an interview, have said that the MP cannot boast of any project despite serving for three terms.

They are livid at the legislator for failing to use his office as the Chairman of the Select Committee on Roads and Transport in Parliament to lobby and get their roads constructed.

They have inveighed against the lawmaker for his negligence and continued disrespect for the community in terms of development.

They accuse the lawmaker of neglecting the people who campaigned and voted for him, stressing that his attitude is making the party unpopular in the constituency.

They have expressed fret over what they have described as “gross disrespect and divisive attitude” of the MP and have urged the youth in the area to rise up and join forces against him in the NPP primaries.

They were quick to add that they would vote massively for any one elected as a presidential candidate for NPP in the 2024 polls but would strongly vote against Kennedy Osei Nyarko should the delegates dare to reelect him.
