Following his appointment as the Deputy Chief Executive Officer (Services) of the Volta River Authority (VRA), Samuel Kwesi Fletcher has expressed his appreciation to the President, H.E. John Dramani Mahama, for the confidence reposed in him and for the honour to serve in the new role.
He pledged his commitment to working hard to achieve the President’s set targets for the VRA while enjoining all staff of the Authority to show more dedication and commitment to duty “as we work together as a team to move the Authority to greater heights.
Until his new appointment, Samuel Kwesi Fletcher served as the head of Corporate Communications and Spokesperson for the VRA. His tenure coincided with the power crisis that plagued Ghana from 2012 to 2015, a period where he emerged as a resilient voice for the VRA and the National Democratic Congress (NDC). His strategic communication efforts not only helped mitigate public dissatisfaction but also earned him respect across the political spectrum.
As a team player, Fletcher is expected to bring his expertise, both in management and communication, to bear on his new role, ensuring that the VRA is repositioned to better serve the energy needs of the Ghanaian people.
