Fans of the Asante Kotoko Sporting Club have been motivated by the announcement of the recovery of sensation Samuel Tenadu who has been out of action since the beginning of the season.
He was billed for his home debut in the season’s opener against Young Apostles, but missed out due to a foot injury he picked up during the warm-up.
Tenadu has since been undergoing rehabilitation.
The midfielder, regarded by many as the ultimate screen shield, will resume full training with the rest of his teammates today, October 15.
In a press statement on October 14, the club said he also could be available for selection in their next game this weekend.
“Midfielder Samuel Tenadu resumes full training on Tuesday and could be available for selection against FC Samartex on Sunday.”
Tenadu’s highly anticipated return is a major boost for the Porcupines as Prosper Ogum’s men aim to reclaim the top spot from the tight schedule that includes Legon Cities away and Basake Holy Stars.
As it stands, the Porcupines have picked up eleven points from the opening five games with a game in hand.
Having had two straight home wins from as many games, the squad looks to make it a hat-trick of victories from Sunday’s tough opponent.
The team will return to Premier League action at Len Clay Stadium this Sunday against FC Samartex, having sat out of the last round of games due to an overseas engagement.
