Simone Biles’ Mother Looks Forward to Reconciliation after Abuse

However, she intends to stay far from them with hope that they rather take the first step of approaching her.

After maltreating and abandoning the world’s most decorated gymnast, Simone Biles and her sister, Adria, at tender age, Shanon Biles looks forward to reconciling with her daughters after years of separation.

She intends to one day seek their forgiveness for the unpleasant childhood she gave them.

However, she intends to stay far from them with hope that they rather take the first step of approaching her.

“I want her (Simone) to reach out to me. She’s 27 now. She’s married. I would have liked to have been a part of that, but I just have to wait for her. You can’t push anybody. It hasn’t happened yet, but I have patience. I’m waiting on her,” Shanon said in an interview with Daliy Mail.

“I would like to make amends with Simone personally—I’m just waiting for her and Adria…I would just ask her to forgive me. Can we move forward? Don’t judge me on my past. Let’s move forward.”

Simone in a memoire released in 2021 spoke extensively about her childhood with her mother who struggled with alcohol and substance abuse at the time.

The situation saw the Olympics gold medalist moving in and out of foster care along with her sister Adria until their maternal grandparents, Ron and Nellie Biles adopted them in 2003.
