A woman with a disability, Madam Zuwaira Adamu, who was having mobility challenges as a result of the absence of a walking aid, got luck smiling on her when a benevolent group, MIND MATTERS, through the Social Workers Association of Ghana (SWAG), donated a wheelchair to her in Ashaiman, a suburb of Accra.
The Executive Director of MIND MATTERS, Madam Daniela Enna Leslie Nicol, expressed her admiration for social workers in the country for the good work they are doing to improve the welfare of the vulnerable and less privileged in society and pledged to collaborate with SWAG in discharging its duty.
The president of SWAG, Mr. Divine A.K. Exorgbe, who received the item, thanked MIND MATTERS for the gesture; indicating how much comfort it would bring to the beneficiary who had been suffering from stroke for years now. He later handed the wheelchair to the Municipal Head of Social Welfare and Community Development Department of Ashaiman Municipal Assembly, Mr. Archibald Mensah who finally handed it to madam Zawuara.
