President Akufo-Addo has assured that his government would deal with anyone found culpable in the missing excavator’s saga.
Delivering the State of Nation Address in Parliament on Thursday, 20th February 2020, President Akufo-Addo urged Ghanaians to provide the appropriate security agencies the necessary evidence to ensure that the perpetrators are punished.
According to him, he has directed the appropriate agency, that is, the Officeoof the Special Prosecutor, to investigate the missing excavators to ascertain those behind it.
He added that the fight against illegal mining has been successful despite few challenges that have come with it. He also commended the “Operation Vanguard” team for their hard work.
President Akufo-Addo debunked numerous reports that the fight againstggalamsey has been a failure because, a cording to him most water bodies have seen improvement in its cleanness.
