Ghana Premier League giants Kumasi Asante Kotoko SC head coach, Dr. Prosper Narteh Ogum has apologized to the fans of the club following their 2022 President’s Cup defeat on Friday evening in Accra.
The Porcupine Warriors manager after defeat to arch rivals Accra Hearts of Oak SC and missing the opportunity to lift his first career trophy had this to say after the match to the supporters of the team.
“Sorry we couldn’t win the President’s Cup. Your support of the team has been exceptional this season. Thank you Kotoko supporters. We shall bounce back”, he wrote on social media.
Kotoko were second best on most parts of the match and succumbed to the 2020-21 Ghana Premier League and MTN FA CUP winners.
Goals from former Ghana U20 captain and Patrick Razak ensured the Phobians lifted up the trophy and gained bragging rights over their opponents with a 2-1 victory.
