Stanbic Bank Ghana has won four awards at the 2019 EMEA Finance Magazine Awards. The awards, which include ‘Best in Foreign Bank’, ‘Best Local Investment Bank’, ‘Best Foreign Investment Bank’ and Best Bond House’ were announced at the twelfth African Banking Awards.
The awards are in recognition of banks that are embracing change brought about by digital transformation.
“Our coverage of the banking industry is increasingly focused on the digital wave sweeping over the entire global economy. Inevitably, our winners are deeply engaged in this digital transformation, and the banks that are embracing this change and adapting quickly are likely the ones who will continue to prosper”, the EMEA Finance Magazine said.
Commenting on the awards, Chief Executive of Stanbic Bank Ghana, Mr. Alhassan Andani, said for a sector that thrives on public trust and confidence, such recognitions do not only show the bank’s expertise across financial services but are also significant endorsements from the public and key stakeholders within the global financial industry.
“Over the past two decades that Stanbic Bank has operated in the country, the bank has committed to the growth of the country through the provision of excellent banking and financial services in the safest way possible. We have worked to establish ourselves as the universal financial service organization of choice, offering our customers and clients cutting edge and tailor-made financial services. And this is a testament and an important measure of the confidence the public and the industry as a whole have in our products and service,” Mr. Andani said.
The EMEA Finance Magazine awards cover commercial and retail banks, investment banks, asset managers and brokerage houses. The awards highlight locally owned banks, international banks with local presences, and those assisting African companies and countries to access local and global capital markets.
This year, Stanbic Bank Ghana celebrates its 20th anniversary as a universal financial services organization in Ghana. Over the twenty years of its operations, the bank has won several local and international banking excellence awards. The bank was recently recognized at the Bank of the Year at the 30th Chartered Institute of Marketing, Ghana (CIMG) awards.
