Central Regional Coordinator for Trade and Artisans Network of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Nana Bamfo, has slammed the Minister for Food and Agriculture, Bryan Acheampong, for shunning his mandate of finding pragmatic measures to address the high cost of food prices in the country.
According to him, food prices on the market have become overly expensive with some prices increasing every day.
Speaking on Mankesim based Obrumankoma FM, Bamfo accused the Agric minister of neglecting the high prices of commodities, insisting that his focus on buying SSNIT hotels instead of finding lasting solutions to the skyrocketing food prices in the country is highly unacceptable.
“Instead of concentrating on how to bring the exorbitant prices of food down, Bryan Acheampong is rather interested in buying the hotels of workers without their approval,” he said.
He further said the state of food prices at the moment is a serious national security threat which needs urgent policy interventions.
According to Bamfo, fighting for state hotels was not one of them.
He accused the current administration of mismanaging the country’s economy resulting in hardship on the citizenry and reiterated the need for traders to vote massively for the NDC and John Mahama to reset the country.
“I’m pleading with you traders to vote for John Mahama because he’s concerned about your plight and not this greedy government that is only interested in State capture”
Nana Bamfo was on regional tour with his deputies propagating the good news about Mahama’s proposed 24hr economy policy.
