SUPACEM Awards Hardworking Distributors and Loyal Customers

SUPECEM, a leading cement brand produced by Continental Blue Investments Limited (CBI) has honored some of its dedicated distributors in the country for their unflinching support and promotion of SUPACEM products amidst Covid-19.

The gesture was part of the company’s efforts at recognizing distributors whose efforts that have resulted in the steady growth of the SUPACEM brand in the country.

At a short ceremony in the premises of the company in Tema on Friday, February 26, 2021, the Commercial Director of CBI, Kobby Adams, explained that it is incumbent on the company to celebrate some of its customers who stick and stayed with the brand even in very difficult times.

He said there has been a high demand for cement countrywide and so CBI decided to embark on an expansion project by going to new territories so as to be able to serve more customers.

He said the recipients are those that stood out in their distributions strategy to help the company achieve it’s intended expansion hence the need for the appreciation.

The awards ranges from car, tricycles, citations, among others, and it is to demonstrate the company’s appreciation to these loyal customers.

On stabilization of Cement prices in the country, Adams noted that Clinker which is the main raw material for the production of cement in the is imported from other parts of the world hence the exchange rate and other factors affecting the pricing of cement. He however indicated that prices have been fairly stable in 2020 and the early parts of this year.

“Clinker is the main raw material in our production and we don’t have in the industrial quantity in Ghana, so we import this product at a cost, and the exchange rate affects the final price” he noted in an answer to a question.

Some award winners shared their excitement with the media over the gesture; Nana K. Gyasi owner of Nana K Gyasi Enterprise asserted that all businesses start from very humble beginnings indicating that there is no short-cuts to success in the entrepreneurial space. He advised the youth to use their knowledge and skills to develop their dream businesses and not fall for traps such as homosexuality that taken over the world in these trying times.

“Our youth must be dedicated to hardwork to become successful and not engage in this same sex activities that is taking over our country,” he lamented

He called on Ghanaians to adhere to the various protocols as Covid-19 is real.

Present at the event were the Technical Director of CBI, Remi Touvet; Chief Financial Officer, Estelle Cailloux; and Head of Sales of CBI, Kojo Arthur.

The company has promised to continue with the expansion to be able to reach and serve more customers.
