As part of efforts to celebrate this year’s annual Akwambo festival by the Chiefs and people of Agona Swedru, the Swedruman Council of Chiefs have appointed a 14-member Committee to ensure the smooth and successful organization of the event.
Chaired by Ebusuapanyin Kwaitoo of Oguaaman, royal kingmakers of the town who also doubles as the head of the Yogo Clan, the committee is tasked to ensure the official launching of the event on Feb. 17, 2024.
Other members were drawn from the Municipal Assembly, religious denominations as well as traditional authorities.
This years celebration will mark the first of the new chief of the town, Nana Oduro Kwarteng, yet to be enstooled.
