Techiman South: Chairman IB urges NPP Youth to avoid campaign of Insults

“You’ve all seen the market and water projects underway,” he said. “The traditional council has graciously offered me land, and I promise to construct a community center for the people of Nkwaeso.”

The Bono East Regional Chairperson of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Ibrahim Baba Bukari, widely known as Chairman IB, has called on the party’s youth wing to avoid using insults in their campaign efforts. Addressing NPP youth at Nkwaeso in the Techiman South constituency, Chairman IB encouraged them to conduct respectful, door-to-door outreach, highlighting the integrity of both the party’s Presidential Candidate, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, and its Parliamentary Candidate for Techiman South, Hon. Martin Adjei-Mensah Korsah.

Chairman IB emphasized that the NPP prioritizes building a united, constructive party focused on national development, rather than engaging in confrontational politics. His remarks came during the launch of a youth parliament for the Nkwaeso youth wing, where he praised the youth’s strong turnout and support.

“I am truly impressed by the crowd here today,” he said. “But let’s not become complacent. This gathering shows the youth’s dedication to the NPP, to Dr. Bawumia, and to Hon. Martin Adjei-Mensah Korsah. I urge you to campaign without insults, as both of our candidates have great respect for tradition and do not condone offensive language.”

He expressed optimism about celebrating their success after the elections on December 9.

Also speaking at the event, Professor Christopher Ameyaw-Akumfi, a former Minister of Ports, Harbours & Railways and former Minister of Education, encouraged the youth to participate actively in the campaign by reaching out to residents door-to-door while respecting differing viewpoints. A native of Nkwaeso, Prof. Ameyaw-Akumfi pledged to build an ultramodern community center on land provided by the local council, in addition to ongoing market and water projects in the area.

“You’ve all seen the market and water projects underway,” he said. “The traditional council has graciously offered me land, and I promise to construct a community center for the people of Nkwaeso.”
