Techiman South: Hon. Martin expresses commitment to ensure peaceful elections

He continued, “I am ever ready to sign all necessary documents and pledge to accept the results of the elections  for peace to reign in Techiman South constituency and for the matter Ghana.”

The Member of Parliament for Techiman South, Hon. Martin Adjei-Mensah Korsah, has expressed his willingness and readiness to sign all necessary documents and pledge his respect for the outcome of the upcoming parliamentary elections.

Hon. Martin Adjei-Mensah Korsah, during the Techiman South New Patriotic Party’s campaign launch and inauguration of a new party office, said he is committed to upholding the principles of democracy and promoting unity among the people of Techiman South.

The Member of Parliament also urged political parties and their supporters to refrain from any form of violence or intimidation, and to respect the outcome of the elections, regardless of the results.

According to him, no amount of violence can change the outcome of the election as he is of the view that the people of Techiman South will vote for a candidate base on his achievements and policies. He also explained that, the person to represent the people of Techiman South for the next four years in Parliament has already been appointed by God and nothing can change that.

“during our campaign in the 2020, there were no violence, during the voting period, there were no violence but after the declaration of the results, the candidate that lost the elections said he won’t accept the results and that unfortunately, raised tempers and at the end, there was a shooting incident that effected two people in Techiman

“We the parliamentary candidates in Tehciman South must pledge to accept the results of the elections, if indeed, you want to serve the people of Techiman, then irrespective of the results of the upcoming parliamentary elections, you will accept it in good fate.

“Nobody can change the decision of God, the person appointed by God to win this elections will by all means win the elections so the candidate that will loose the elections should accept the result and I believe that if that is done, we will continue to enjoy the peace and stability in the constituency.” He said.

He continued, “I am ever ready to sign all necessary documents and pledge to accept the results of the elections  for peace to reign in Techiman South constituency and for the matter Ghana.”

He encouraged all eligible voters to participate in the electoral process and cast their ballots in a responsible and peaceful manner. This move according to the Local Government and Rural Development Minister is aimed at ensuring that peace continues to reign in Techiman South.
