Over the weekend, three constituencies namely Tema Central, Bortianor Ngleshie Amanfro and Okaikwei South joined the United Gadangme Caucus train. Executives from the three constituencies were sworn into office to lead the mobilisation of Gadangme people in their constituencies.
In administering the oath of office by Nii Armah Addy Esq., he advised the coordinators to complement the work of Constituency Executives and Parliamentary Candidates to mobilise Gadangme people for the NDC. He stated that “the Constituency Executives of United GaDangbe Caucus have a core mandate to mobilise solely Gadangme people.”
He charged them to achieve the minimum of registering 5,000 GaDangbe people in every constituency. This he believes is achievable if the coordinators puts their hearts and minds to work.
Other key leaders who spoke includes Hon Nii Armah Ashietey, Hon Nii Lantey Vanderpuye, Hon Happy Ogbo McCarthy and Hon Dorcas K. Afotey. Also present was some coordinators of different constituencies, the Quarcoopome sisters, Mrs. Domond and many others.
In each of the three constituencies, NDC constituency executives (present and former), traditional leaders, opinion leaders and party faithful were present to grace the occasion.
The three thematic areas of the United Gadangme Caucus forms the fulcrum of the mobilisation. They are: gathering Gadangme people everywhere for political, economic and socials gains with the NDC as the pivot, plans and programmes to enhance the teaching and learning of Gadangme in public schools in the Greater Accra region and fostering Gadangme cultural awareness at the international, national and local levels.
The United Gadangme Caucus train keeps moving and hopefully will stop at every constituency in the Greater Accra region and all the other 15 regions of Ghana before the end of 2024.
