Stan Dogbe’s post lambasts Wilberforce Asare and George Andah for what he describes as a dangerous trend of spreading falsehoods, which he claims undermines Ghana’s democracy and could potentially lead to national chaos. He asserts that Asaase Radio’s actions reflect a deliberate attempt to misinform the public to serve their political interests.
“Their audacious creation and propagation of falsehoods is a stark display of their readiness to operate in the shadows, fostering conflict and peril,” Stan wrote. He criticized their blatant disregard for the truth, accusing them of fabricating stories to mislead their audience and questioning the ethical foundations of their media outlet.
Stan’s ire was particularly directed at a recent report from Asaase Radio that allegedly misrepresented former President Mahama’s campaign activities. He pointed out that Mahama and the National Democratic Congress (NDC) had been on a four-day campaign in the Upper East Region, which concluded on Tuesday, and had not been in the Northern Region as claimed by the station.
“Of course, we now know that the station was not set up to operate as an ethical and responsible media institution, but do you have any conscience, George Andah and Wilberforce? And we are told that Wilberforce is a pastor? God save our souls, indeed,” Stan Dogbe exclaimed in his post, highlighting what he sees as a lack of integrity at Asaase Radio.
Stan also suggested that the station’s credibility is in question, even among its own followers, indicating that the National Patriotic Party (NPP) supporters themselves prefer not to rely on Asaase Radio for information.
“Just check their growth over the years since they started operations… Do they think going the tangent of broadcasting and publishing false news about John Mahama is what will help them?” Dogbe questioned, emphasizing that the NDC’s candidates, Mahama and Naana Jane, are trustworthy and experienced, and their proposed solutions to national problems are more substantial than any false narratives could undermine.
The post also took a swipe at the National Media Commission (NMC), accusing it of partisan bias and failing to hold Asaase Radio accountable for its alleged misinformation.
Stan Dogbe concluded by challenging the NPP to engage in more responsible media practices, suggesting that their candidate should meet the press in a transparent manner, as Mahama did in Bolgatanga, rather than relying on what he termed “spreading thrash.”

And just because you heard Mahama announce his next stop as the Volta Region, you have to run and churn out another false story.

No wonder their NPP followers do not consider Asaase in Accra and their affiliates credible and prefer not to listen to them. Mahama and Naana Jane are trustworthy; they are an experienced pair, and they have and continue to outline solutions to the problems your Bawumia and Akufo-Addo have bestowed on us, and your lies won’t help your Bawumia’s campaign in any way.
Of course, in a country with partisan political leadership at the National Media Commission, no state institution will be bothered by such acts; Asaase, George Andah, and Wilberforce are emboldened to continue their nation-wrecking activities.
Mahama met the media in Bolgatanga this morning. If your candidate can, send him to meet the press and stop spreading thrash.
