However, the Odorkor Divisional Police, and the original owners of the vehicle, is appealing to the general public to assist with the arrest of Akwesi Boateng, for a ransom. The general public is encouraged to contact any nearby police station, or call 0540944141 or 0243878326.

If you are into car rentals, make sure you do proper due dillegence on clients before renting out vehicles, because it has become a new trend, that some unscrupulous clients may use the vehicle for criminal activities.

With this strategy, criminals may even provide you their Ghana cards; which is supposed to contain their information, in case they go missing, but do not be deceived, most of the information, provided to the National Identification Authority may be wrong, making it difficult to trace them, the New Crusading GUIDE has gathered.

This new trend, uncovered by the Odorkor Divisional Police Command, involves how one Akwesi Boateng Bismark, on 14th December last year, rented two vehicles; a Toyota Corrola and a Hyundai CR-V , he paid for only ten days and has since not returned the cars, although there has been several attempts by the vehicle owners and the police to talk to him.

According to the Odorkor Divisional Police, they have been able to retrieve the Toyota Corolla; when it got arrested by the Suhum Police.

“The car had been used to steal goats in some villages around Suhum, in the Eastern region”, the Police said.

When this reporter contacted Akwesi Boateng via a phone call, he claimed to be in the northern region and that he was going to return the remaining Hyundai CR-V last weekend.

He admitted the Toyota Corolla was with the Suhum Police, but refused to explain why it got there.

He also said he had given the Hyundai CR-V to a friend in Kade, and that he has been trying to reach him, but was not going through.

Asked to provide the contact of his friend, he declined by saying “don’t worry, I will have my own way of reaching him, please be expecting the car by this weekend (last weekend)”.

However, the Odorkor Divisional Police, and the original owners of the vehicle, is appealing to the general public to assist with the arrest of Akwesi Boateng, for a ransom.

The general public is encouraged to contact any nearby police station, or call 0540944141 or 0243878326.
