Some people consider the task of the youth organizer to be Mobilising money from unknown source to grab the position without looking at both positive and negative implications just because, they are of the view that, after attaining the height and upgrading their financial status, would not consider the plight of the youth thereby, casting doom on the grassroots due to lack of requisite skills to lead the youth front.
This write-up sorts to enlightened all the aspirants of the NPP party who have the zeal to contest for the National Youth organizer position of the up-coming National Elections of the great party NPP not to elude themselves with the core mandate and the responsibilities so long as the position is concerned. In fact, so many people have soiled the reputation of the great NPP party or have resulted to condemn the marvelous work of the party just because, they are of the view that, when they sacrifice their energy, strength, resources and the little time they have to capture political power for the party, their sweat go waste and feel neglected.
There are five sensitive issues or tools the office of the Youth organizer sort to address. The first tool is communication; one cannot occupy the position without knowing how to disseminate information or to use communication as a skill to achieve political power. In Mobilising your peers, families and the communities to achieve a set target, one needs to learn how to draw his subordinates close accompanied with language skill irrespective of the peoples backgrounds, culture, religion and their traditional settings. So communication plays vital role so long as the position of National Youth organizer is concern.
The second factor or tool also projects coordination. One needs to blend all the political actors or the industry players involved with the motif of achieving a common goal or ambition. Holding onto that office, a lot need to be learned so not to generate tension amongst the party members. Quite recently, we witnessed the tour of our national executives going round the country to solicit for the answers as to why majority of the seats lost to their opponent. In dealing with such situations and issues, the youth organizer needs to recruit and retain youth members through building effective and efficient relationship with his grassroots, footsoldiers, sympathizers, party activists and the lovers of the party to capture political power for the party.
The position may also include spending time with the youth thereby, holding series of meetings to know more about their plights and concerns in other to present effective report to the appropriate channel to curb their grievances. The youth Organizer needs to prepare questioners for the grassroots to fill to know about their sentiments and their enthusiasm towards the party’s electoral campaigns to achieve a tangible results as far as power is concerned.
And also, one of the crucial roles or tools concerning the position is to facilitate political education and skills training workshops to avoid ranting of the members. One can attest the fact that, the youth specifically, the grassroots are all over the country ranting and calling for a helping hand side to aid them get employment to realise their dreams and future. Not to say the current administration is not up and doing but in extension, there are more to that in other to minimize the public outcry and the grassroots agitations.
To crown it all, the National youth Organizer should at a point conduct National, regional and constituency based organizing and campaign plans; support campaign strategy development; and support the evaluation and the development or the outcome of the campaigns. So the task ahead to alleviate the grassroots from hardship and problems rest on the shoulders of the youth Organizer. This and many more the National youth Organizer needs to look at before picking a form to contest.
