The recent Bawku conflict is like a cinema where one group of Politicians’ movie ends and another group of Politicians’ movie starts!
The Bawku conflict cinema is getting to the DENOUEMENT where and when the snafu is resolved.
Every citizen will endure the CATHARSIS of the Bawku conflict cinema, where there will be relief from the trauma and repressed emotions by the actions of rented gunmen killing and spilling the blood of POLITICIANS and/or other prominent persons residing in and/or hail from Bawku and its environs.
Why?
Question one (1):
Who supplies the sophisticated arms and ammunitions to poor, illiterate, semi-illiterate, unemployed, irascible gunmen to kill, maim and destroy the locals in Bawku and its environs?
How come that when locals belonging to or associated with one Bawku faction are killed or maimed by gunmen from the opposing faction, it is only one group of Politicians and/or prominent persons associated with the victimised faction who bray on radio and tv for justice for the victims? And how come Politicians and/or prominent persons associated with the victimiser faction keep mute?
Don’t all lives matter in Bawku and its environs?
The macabre good news is that the Bawku gunmen are in need of bigger scalps to take, so that they can boast of killing this or that big POLITICIAN or prominent person So they have been itching to gun down POLITICIANS and/or other prominent persons who reside in or hail from Bawku and its environs.
Why?
Question two (2):
Who funds and supplies hard drugs to the gunmen and provides them cooked meals when they return to their strongholds from their killing expeditions?
Question three (3):
Who continues to smuggle sophisticated arms and ammunitions to the gunmen to snafu the Bawku conflict?
Since the latest conflict broke out in November/December 2021, there is a macabre diary recording of the details of some of the locals killed by gunmen as well as the tribes of the deceased and the locations where they were gunned down.
It is common knowledge in Bawku and its environs that not all the deaths are reported or recorded as some victims are hurriedly buried!
It is common talk in Bawku and its environs that the POLITICIANS and/or other prominent persons have been fueling the conflict, but they will not like to pass through the fire they have been stoking!
Where is the evidence?
Well, it is a common whisper in Bawku that the Politicians and/or other prominent persons funding and supplying sophisticated weapons and other necessaries to excalate the Bawku conflict will be caught red-handed, not by the Security Agencies but ironically by their own rented gunmen.
How?
The gunmen know the Politicians and/or prominent persons behind the factional gunmen and who have been fueling the killings spree in Bawku and its environs, and the gunmen will likely turn their weapons on those factional benefactors!
May be, William Buttler Yeats (1865-1939) had the agency conflict killings in Bawku in mind when he wrote these lines in The Second Coming:
“Turning and turning in the widening gyre
The falcon cannot hear the falconer;
Things fall apart and the centre cannot hold.
Mere anarchy is loosed upon (Bawku).”
It is common knowledge in Bawku and its environs that the Politicians and/or other prominent persons have lost control over their own rented gunmen. The Bawku snafu is at a stage where gunmen will gloat over likely killings of Politicians and/or other prominent persons.
Can any Politician and/or prominent person dare visit or pass through Bawku without adequate Security protection?
Be advised, cautioned and warned that the Bawku gunmen will turn their guns on Politicians and prominent persons as atonement for the hard drugs, the AK 47s and other sophisticated weapons supplied to gunmen for the killing of the following Bawku locals:

By the way, what happened to the dream of a fact-finding visit to Bawku by the bi-partisan Parliamentary Committee on Defence and Interior? Did the Parliamentarians receive grapevine information that they would be shot by the Bawku gunmen? Cowards!!
I shall return.
