At least, three children have managed to escape attempt on their lives by suspected kidnappers on separate farmlands in the Sissala West district area of Gwollu.
This has put fear on women,children and farmers who are involved in the harvesting of their farm produce forcing leaders of the affected communities asking for improved security.

A worried parent from Jawia called Alex Jongi said his friends daughter, an apprentice seamstress was returning from Gwollu to Nyemeti said according to her daughter “whilst she was walking in the evening,a man on a motorcycle moving in the same direction offered her a lift , she later realized that the rider took an unusual route from the road, ‘frightened by that I jumped from the speeding motorcycle and sustained bruises and started running back from the bush to the road.He narrated.
I later saw him parked the motor and pulled a cutlass towards me ,I then hid in a bush until some pedestrians helped me later’.
Another incident involved a girl from Gbarima close to kupulima who alleged her attacker sprayed on her face some powdered substance which rendering her visionless and got help from a moving trycicle after a loud cry when she was coming from the farm.
Four of the communities affected in the Sissala West held a meeting to find ways to deal with this emerging threat to young girls lives by calling for security to be tightened in the area.

The girls so far threatened by the alleged kidnappers have been sent to the hospital on separate occasions and brought home excerpt that they are still frightened.The Parents said. The communities includes;Buoti, Jitong, Gbarima and Jawia .
