Universal Peace Federation honors Torgbui Dikenu II of Nogokpo as Peace Ambassador of Togo

The "Peace Ambassador" award was conferred on the young and illustrious Chief of Nogokpo who's chiefdom straddles between Ghana and the Republic of Togo for his meritorious services to humanity and his commitment to ensuring that peace prevails in our society.

Torgbui Dikenu II of Nogokpo in the Ketu South Municipality of the Volta Region was on Saturday November 21 honoured as a “Peace Ambassador” of Togo and the World by the Universal Peace Federation (UPF) – an international, inter-religious network of individuals and institutions including, Civil Society Organizations (CSOs), government agencies and the private sector working together to promote peace and to make the world a better place. This was during a ceremony held at Nyekornakpoe in the Republic of Togo.

The “Peace Ambassador” award was conferred on the young and illustrious Chief of Nogokpo who’s chiefdom straddles between Ghana and the Republic of Togo for his meritorious services to humanity and his commitment to ensuring that peace prevails in our society.

A citation accompanying the Certificate of Honour read in part that “this is to recognize your immense contribution over the years in working with the youth of your area and beyond to promote and consolidate peace and unity in Togo, Ghana and the world as a whole”.

Receiving the award, Torgbui Dikenu II expressed gratitude to the Universal Peace Federation (UPF) and the chiefs and people of Nyekornakpoe Traditional Council which traditionally extends into Ghana for the honor done him and the recognition of his efforts in building a world of peace and unity. He pledged his continuous commitment to lead the agenda for the attainment of World Peace.

Torgbui Dikenu II observed that the world is ending up being a sad place. “With war, hate, unfairness and intolerance happening; we feel helpless, sometimes not knowing what to do to stop these things plaguing the world we live in”.

The young traditional ruler called on all to spread love, peace, and unity in their own small ways.

“Rather than thinking about the negative things going on in the world, make a positive impact in the world you live in by embracing and spreading love, peace and unity to others – if we can all come together and do our small part each day in spreading love, peace and unity, we can make the world a better and positive place for all without any fear of insecurity.

Torgbui Aho Atsiso III of Nyekornakpoe who is the grandfather of Torgbui Dikenu II, charged the awardee to continue in his efforts in ensuring that his community and for that matter the whole world is a place of peace and tranquility. He pledged the Nyekornakpoe Traditional Council’s support to the awardee at all times.

Torgbui Dikenu II of Nogokpo is a young entrepreneur and businessman who’s desire is to see a better world where people live in peace and harmony. He is a lead member of the UPF and a staunch member of the Duamenefa Foundation – a Peace Advocacy Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) affiliated to Fafaa FM, a local radio station based in Dzodze in the Ketu North Municipality of the Volta Region.

The station has programming content that aims at promoting peace and fellow-feeling among members of society within it’s catchment area and beyond.

Torgbui Dikenu II is the founder and president of Crowned Kings & Queens Nation International, an umbrella body of traditional leaders working for their own welfare and for peace in Ghana, Africa and the entire world. He is a film director and CEO of Fountain Productions, a socio-cultural movie production group and Nogokpotv.com both aimed at producing movies to promote the African culture and traditions as well as re-telling the African story.
