Unrest in Ouagadougou and Accra’s expected response

Accra must determine to prepare for, deter, and defend against the coercive force of extremists and other hybrid tactics by state and non-state actors in Burkina Faso.

There are reports of unrest in Ouagadougou this morning 30th September, 2022 with sources indicating an attempted coup d’etat against the Burkinabe Military regime.

As a cross-border security watcher, I do expect that Ghanaian Security and Intelligence Agents are immediately on high alert to monitor any ripples and overflows into Ghana.

Accra must determine to prepare for, deter, and defend against the coercive force of extremists and other hybrid tactics by state and non-state actors in Burkina Faso.

Our national security is like a mother who must never be betrayed!
