A validation meeting on the Gender Analysis of Social and Behaviour Change (SBC) programming for ending child marriage is currently underway. The programme, organized by MoGCSP through the Child Marriage Unit, with support from UNICEF Ghana, brings together key stakeholders from government agencies, civil society organizations, development partners, and research institutions.

The event aims to validate the findings from a recently conducted gender analysis study commissioned under the UNFPA-UNICEF Global Programme to End Child Marriage. The study examines how existing SBC interventions can be strengthened through a gender lens to more effectively address the root causes of child marriage in Ghana.

Participants are expected to deliberate on the study’s findings, refine recommendations for implementation, and build consensus among stakeholders to ensure ownership and successful integration into ongoing SBC efforts.

Key activities include presentations, group discussions, and plenary sessions on thematic areas related to child marriage prevention.

The meeting is anticipated to contribute significantly to national efforts toward achieving gender equality and protecting the rights of children, especially girls, across the country.
