Victims of defunct DKM micro-finance firms would soon receive their monies after proper validation has been done. This is according to President Nana Akufo-Addo Addo.
He said the government will do its best to ensure that all persons who have their monies locked up as part of the financial sector clean up by the Bank of Ghana get their monies back.
President Akufo-Addo was speaking in Parliament on the State of Nation Address on Thursday, 20th February 2020, emphasized the financial sector cleanup has saved depositors funds of about Ghc13bn.
President Akufo-Addo has therefore advised supervisors of the various banks and financial institutions to be more proactive in ensuring that regulations guiding their operations are well adhered to strengthen the sector.
