Volta Region Supports Torgbiga Adamah’s Bid for Council of State Representation

Following the opening of nominations for the Council of State nominations by the Electoral Commission of Ghana, scheduled for February 11, 2024 across the country, residents of the Volta region have thrown massive support behind an illustrious son of the region, Torgbiga Adamah III, to represent them on the Council of State.

Known for his commitment and decisive stance on national issues, Torgbiga Adamah III, who is the Paramount Chief and President of the Somé Traditional Council, has been widely tipped as the preferred candidate for the enviable position by an overwhelming number of the people of the region, including traditional leaders, religious groups and other prominent members of the region.

As a leader who is development focused, championing several developmental projects in the Somé enclave in the Ketu South Municipality and other parts of the region, many are of the conviction that the young, dynamic and hardworking Paramount Chief is the best bet for the prestigious position.

With his versatility and strong connections to government and captains of business, the people of the region view Torgbiga Adamah III as someone capable of providing the best advice to the President of the Republic on issues affecting the region, further lobbying for the concerns of the people to be addressed.

With decades of experience as a business leader himself, Torgbiga Adamah III played an instrumental role in the establishment of Seven Seas Salt Company Limited, a salt mining venture currently operating in the Ketu South Municipality which has opened up employment opportunities for hundreds of youth and women, reducing the unemployment rate in the enclave.

As a husband and father, Torgbiga Adamah III is loved by the people of the region, who believe in his credentials and ability to perform if given the nod to represent the region on the Council of State.

The people of the region also believe that Torgbiga Adamah III”s membership on the Council, will in no doubt inure to their benefit as he has throughout his public life championed the cause of the people of the Volta region.

With barely three weeks to the Council of State elections, the Chiefs, religious leaders and the larger population of the region are leaving no stones unturned in ensuring that this illustrious son of the soil emerges victorious to become their representative on the prestigious Council of State, praying for God’s guidance and protection for him as he prepares to take on the position.
