Running mate of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Prof. Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang has urged Ghanaians to vote against the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the upcoming elections to combat corruption and arrogance associated with the current Akufo-Addo-Bawumia led administration.
In a recent statement on her X handle, Ptof. Opoku-Agyemang emphasized the importance of uniting behind the NDC flagbearer John Dramani Mahama to secret the country back to normalcy, and build a better future for the nation.
“It’s important for all of us to come together and vote for John Mahama and all the NDC candidates to begin building the Ghana we want,” she stated, highlighting the critical role of each vote in achieving electoral success.
The former Minister of Education reassured supporters that every vote cast for the NDC will be protected against interference. She remarked.
“Every vote matters and will be safeguarded. We need to put an end to this era of corruption, arrogance, and greed to pave the way for progress,” she wrote.
As part of her campaign efforts, Ptof. Opoku-Agyemang is currently on a three-day tour of her home region – the Central Region, engaging with traditional leaders, religious figures, market vendors, and other stakeholders. This initiative aims to strengthen the party’s support base and attract undecided voters ahead of the December 2024 elections.
She encouraged voters to overcome personal grievances and participate actively in the electoral process, stating that, “You don’t need to remain indifferent or refuse to vote because of a personal issue with someone else.”
Her campaign is focused on fostering meaningful interactions and advocating for the NDC’s commitment to the development and prosperity of the Central Region.
