Management of Real Tamale United (RTU), insists the club remain the pride of the North despite a 3-2 away loss to Medeama SC on the day the club marks its 46 years of existence.
Management further added they are hopeful the club will bounce back to its glory days despite the humiliating defeat.
RTU recorded their first lose of the season in week two of the betpawa Ghana premier league far away in Tarkwa on Sunday.
According to the statement released by the Club and signed by Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Jawhari Baba-Duah,
“It’s a day we wanted to celebrate with a win in our week two match of the betpawa Ghana premier league. We fought gallantly but could not win on the day. We remain the pride of the North and hope for glorious days ahead. Enjoy this special day. Way Una”. The statement added.
RTU is 46 years on Sunday September 18,2022. The club was founded in 1976 from the merger of Northern United and Real Sportives.
The loss means the Tamale-based side is now 12th on the league table with just a point after two games.
RTU will play host to legon cities fc in week 3 of the betpawa Ghana premier league at the Aliu Mahama Sports Stadium on Sunday.
