The Ghana Football Association Executive Council member also acknowledged the region’s deprivation of top-flight football and the impact it had on the community’s excitement for the sport.
He added, “When you look at the game between us and Volta Rangers in Ho and you look at the way the stadium was filled up, the tension and excitement, you could see the Region has been deprived of Premier League football.”
“We have been starved of top-flight football for long, and I thank God we are back,” Dr Abbey concluded.
