Dr. Gabriel Dei Yeboah Bono East Regional Director of Electoral Commission has revealed that, his office has so far registered over 27, 000 new voters since he commencement of the exercise.
According to him, the Bono East Regional Electoral Commission on the average registered over 1,300 new voters.
“As we speak, we have registered more than 27,000 into the voters register so on the average, we have been registering over 1,300 people daily.”
Dr. Gabriel Dei Yeboah, says “the commitment of our staff and that of the voters is very encouraging, people are still coming to our various offices in their numbers to get registered and this is very encouraging.
“We hope to get a lot more people on the voters register hence the decision by the Commission to extend the deadline.
He made this revelation in an interview on Classic FM which was keenly monitored by Elvisanokyenews.com.
Dr. Dei Yeboah expressed optimism that, his office will register over 3,000 new voters within the 2 days extended period.
“As I said earlier, we register 1,300 new voters per day and looking at how people were coming to our office during the last 2 days, I can say we may register additional 3,000 or more new voters within the extended time.
